The Moment It All Clicked
There wasn’t one grand moment where everything suddenly made sense.
It was quieter than that.
I was on a trip — one I had looked forward to for a long time. The destination was beautiful, the hotel was wonderful, and yet something felt unfinished. We had time, we had the desire to explore, but we didn’t quite know how to make the most of where we were.
It wasn’t that the trip was bad.
It was that it could have been so much more.

We were staying at L'Auberge Del Mar, a place we loved so much that we naturally slowed down — and it was in that stillness that I began to understand how deeply the right accommodations shape the entire travel experience.

What Stayed With Me
What stayed with me wasn’t the destination — it was the realization that travel has a rhythm.
When that rhythm is right, a trip feels restorative.
When it’s off, even the most beautiful places can feel rushed or unfinished.
That understanding continues to guide how I plan travel today — not by adding more, but by choosing better.
